LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN

Toadflax is currently seeking highly motivated, energetic people for their management team.
A landscape construction foreman is needed in South Glens Falls, NY.  The foreman manages, coordinates, and monitors the performance of the crew so that the company's quality standards are obtained. 

Founded in 1991, Toadflax is a landscape design/build firm.  We design and construct all aspects of the outdoor environment, catering to high end clients throughout the Saratoga, Adirondack and Capital District Region. In conjunction with our landscape division, Toadflax also has a large retail nursery,  garden center, and production greenhouses.

Job Requirements 
Qualified candidates will possess:
  • A degree in Horticulture, Landscape contracting, or related major, and a minimum of 3 - 5 years landscape construction experience, to include but not limited to: Stone Masonry, Plantings, Grading and Drainage.
  • Horticultural knowledge, Leadership potential, and an Aptitude to train.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail while maintaining budget parameters.
  • Strong communication skills between clients, designers and crew.
  • Ability to read and implement design specifications and plans.
  • Proficiency in the use of all landscape equipment.
  • Ability to speak Spanish  a plus.
  • Knowledge of Irrigation and Landscape Lighting a plus.

Toadflax Nursery / Garden Center

These are creative, hands-on positions in the nursery. 

Help customers succeed with their gardens

Toadflax Nursery has openings, full or part time for the

2008  season.

Retail Associates   Duties would include operating a cash register,

watering and care of plant material, assisting customers-in store

and on the phone.  Plant knowledge and retail experience is

necessary.

Nursery Yard Associate  We are looking for individuals with tree,

shrub and perennial knowledge, independent work habits, and

self motivated.  Some heavy lifting.
